Disconnections

UPL's expert planners can organise all required utility disconnections for demolition or redevelopment projects, which can often cause frustrating delays and health and safety issues where live apparatus remains on site. Completion of disconnections is a complex actvitiy due to the involvement of energy suppliers, meter operators and distribution companies and the separate processes to arrange removal of both the meter and termination of the existing supply cable or pipe into the site.

Our specialist industry systems enable us to immediately identify the energy supplier and arrange for the prompt removal of utility meters and, with access to utility maps and records and a national network of engineers, we can also take final meter readings to ensure accurate final billing. Additionally, we can produce the necessary utility plans and conduct site surveys to determine the exact location of potentially live apparatus. Following this, we can then arrange for the disconnection of pipes and cables to be undertaken immediately, at your convenience and at the correct location.
