Groundworks must be undertaken for new developments, diversions and upgrades, but approaching each individual service to determine the utility mapping in an area can prove extremely time-consuming. It can also be difficult to guarantee that you have captured all of the utility apparatus in a specific area. Most major cities, for example, have many different data cabling services available in one small area. Obtaining plans for all of these is a demanding task, with no assurance of accuracy.
No matter what stage you are at in your project, UPL’s utility asset location facility can provide you with accurate information on the location of buried services anywhere in the UK. With full access to precise utility data, we can quickly identify which services are in the area to ensure that you do not make any unnecessary applications.
All organisations which lay underground services are required to confirm the existence of their assets with the local council and, where applicable, the Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee (HAUC). UPL has licensed access to these utility mapping records and, for unlicensed systems, we are able to gain access to the information required promptly.
UPL can provide:
Reports and plans provided will include all gas, electricity, water, telecoms and data cabling routes as required. We can also provide recommendations on least cost works and can conduct in-depth feasibility studies in conjunction with the provision of such records.
