• UPL responds to OFGEM's DPCR-5 consultation

  UPL has issued a response to an OFGEM consultation on the fifth Distribution Price Control Review (DPCR-5).

  
  The consultation set out to seek opinions on the prices which Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) will be allowed to charge over the next five years, beginning on 1st April 2010. The proposals covered all aspects of the ways in which DNOs are regulated and are able to earn their revenue, and unveiled OFGEM’s plans to encourage investment in electricity network infrastructure. The document also set out new service level standards which DNOs will be obliged to meet, in order to ‘improve the level of service for customers who source connections from DNOs’.
