• UPL gains MOP accreditation

  We are delighted to announce that we have successfully qualified in the UK electricity market as a Non Half-Hourly Meter Operator (MOP). The MOP qualification, awarded by ELEXON, enables us to supply, install, maintain and operate electricity meters (including smart meters) – significantly reducing meter connection time and costs for our growing list of clients.
  
  

  As UPL Chief Executive Gary Mawer explains, ‘Our recent MOP accreditation allows us to undertake comprehensive independent meter operator services which, until recently, were only available from the UK’s main electricity suppliers. With energy prices remaining volatile and growing pressure on businesses to reduce carbon emissions, it is vital that organisations are able to access accurate energy consumption data whilst also maintaining maximum flexibility to choose their energy supplier. Selecting an independent metering and data service provider is the only way to achieve both objectives, allowing organisations to have full visibility of all costs and complete control of their energy usage.’
